The Canadian Computing Heritage Network brings together researchers, archivists and curators working to develop and implement a national strategy for preserving, researching and promoting public understanding of the history of computing in Canada. The network is anchored by five partner institutions:

  • Ingenium
  • Library and Archives Canada
  • Université de Montréal
  • University of Victoria
  • York University

By working together, the members of the network aim to amplify and expand existing expertise and research infrastructure vital for preserving and understanding computing history in Canada through collaboration.

The network’s current activities are guided by three working groups focusing on co-ordination in three areas:

  • Preservation Practice
  • Collection Metadata
  • Research Training

The CCHN is also interested in welcoming new institutional and individual members. If you’re interested in Canadian computing history, please reach out.
